Some 2017 Passat vehicles made by Volkswagen Group of America, Inc. are being recalled due to a slow leak of brake fluid from some faulty brake line connections.
The brake fluid leak results in low levels in brake lines that could increase the crash risk of affected vehicles.
Volkswagen is expected to begin the recall in March 2017. Owners who have vehicles subject to the recall will be able to contact customer service at 800-893-5298 to request their vehicle be fixed free of charge. Give them the recall number 47N3.
For further information, owners can contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153), or go to www.safercar.gov.
