Owners of 2014 Ram ProMaster cargo vans may find themselves at a higher risk of crash due to defects announced today that could potentially disable the vehicle’s air bags, affect its ability to run or turn off signals and lights — increasing the event of a crash, according to a recall filed with the National Highway Transportation Safety Administration.
Indeed, some 21,000 of these full-size vans are being recalled by Chrysler due to a circuit corrosion from a defect that allows water inside the in-floor battery cover and door’s foot well trim.
California Lemon Law Attorney James Johnson says owners of these cars — manufactured between April 23, 2013 and May 22, 2014 — could potentially file a claim under Lemon Laws for defective vehicles if it they are deemed unrepairable or the vehicle is out of service for at least 30 days.
“There can be deadly consequences as a result of a safety defect such as this one,” said Attorney James Johnson, a California Lemon Law Attorney. “If you are the owner of one of these vehicles and have experienced repeated repairs and or loss of use for 30 days or more – it’s possible you have a Lemon Law claim.”
Are you are experiencing any of these problems or other issues with your Ram ProMaster Cargo Van? Maybe it’s time to turn in your lemon and begin the buyback process with Chrysler so you can be back on the road again without worrying about these types of problems.
