Recall Due to Potential Fire Risk Keystone Montana Fifth-Wheel Trainers
The Keystone RV Company has issued a recall for 313, model year 2018 Keystone Montana fifth-wheel trailers due to a potential fire risk due to a lack of circuit protection in the wiring of its slide-out room feature, according to the recreational vehicle manufacturer.
The company says the switch for the slide-out room may not have circuit-protection and this could cause the slide-out switch wiring shorts to ground.
Keystone plans to notify owners and dealers starting on July 8, 2018. Owners should take their RV to a local dealer to have them install a inline fuse for that circuit at no charge. Keystone customers service at 1-866-425-4369. Keystone’s number for this recall is 18-320.
